O2 Sensor Issue...HELP!!!

Hello all,

Here's the situation. The CEL came on in my wife's 2006 Corolla. We took it to a local mechanic, who hooked it to his computer. He said it was a problem with the O2 sensor. He replaced the sensor, which was seized, and reset the CEL. About a week later, and the CEL is back on. Taking it back to him, but any suggestions as to what may be causing this problem? I am unsure of the actual code, and have a lot of background in repairing Honda, but Toyota's are new to me. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...

How did it drive when the light came on? Any issues at cold idle? Was the front or rear sensor changed? What brand of sensor was put in? Cant help much without the code. There might be a TSB that applies. How many kms? Can you give him a call?

Front sensor was replaced. No real issues with rough idle from what i could tell. Fuel economy has decreased slightly though. I'm going to see him tomorrow, so hopefully i get the code. I'll post tomorrow. Thanks for the help!

First, the front sensor is not a O2 sensor, it is a A/F sensor and if that was bad, you would notice it.

The O2 sensor is after cat so if your light is back on, pray you don't have any other expensive codes.

But without knowing what the code is, theres not a lot that we can do on the forum so let us know what it brings up.
