Is it just me.

New to forum but not new to toyota. Previously had an 88 Celica best car I ever owned. Now have an 05 CorollaS and its making my blood pressure boil. Problems so far at 71,200 miles. 2nd ECM, drivers side seat rail latch broken, intake manifold gasket, electric windows have rattles, timing chain tentioner weeping oil. engine valve noise is louder than I remembered when new. Car rides harsh. Bought new in 05 and car is babied. The plan was to get 200K on this baby. Wish me luck.

Wow! That is so unfortunate. Hopefully, you will not have many issues from this point onwards.

Can't do the lemon thing as I have over 71,000 miles. If only toyota would bring back the 2.0 Celica GT that I use to own I would be a happy camper. Got rid of it at 150K miles and the car used a half quart of oil at 4K oil changes. Replaced brakes tires and battery those are the only parts I used in the 12 years I owned it. I don't want to start a hornets nest but I think the quality of our toyotas were better when they were made in japan as thats where the celica GT was made.
