wheel/tire size

i've got a moderately lowered suspension with performance struts/shocks riding on 215/50/17 tires. if i wanted to smooth out the ride could i fit in tires with a sidewall of 60? (215/60/17) with no interference?

What is the tire to fender gap now? Going up to a 60 series is going to give you 20mm or so height increase.

Use this guide from discount tire.

http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTireMath.dos

It lets you put in your current tire and gives you specs of the tire you want to go to.

The correct sidewall size for a 17 inch wheel is a 45 series. If you are already running a 50 series and the ride isn't comfortable then you need to consider going with a 16" wheel. If you were to go with a 60 series tire honestly it's going to look like you are riding on ballons lol and how much more do you want to throw off your speedometer?

I'm on 18 inch staggered wheels with a 40 series dropped on KSport coils on the stiffest setting and the ride is def. bearable but everyone is different, what I think your best option would be is to go with a smaller sized wheel and a larger series tire.
