Canada 2003 Corolla body molding.

Hey I just bought my new car. a charcoal 2003 corolla CE. I was thinking of removing the side body molding. several forum say its easy but I just wanted to know if since the car is almost 8 years old the color under the body molding would be different from the rest of the body...

thanks in advance.

Easy to remove but the sun will fade the paint and it will be noticeable when you remove the molding, even with black. Any history on if it was ever waxed?

It depends on the amount of sun the side was exposed to. If it was in a garage all its life it will not be bad. If it has been outside all the time and exposed to a lot of sun then there is a chance of the color fading. Are you in Canada? The sun is not as tough on things up there as it is on us down in the southern US. You can remove a part of the trim and look and see.

Thumbs up

Yeah I think ill start by removing the corolla sign first and see how much fading happenned there then carry-on. It was in NB all the time so its quite sunny but the sun isnt that hard. will see. thanks.
