Heater issues.

Did a search but my searchfu isn't working very well.

2007 Corolla S.

Heater does not want to change from vent location. It blows at all power levels. It blows heat. It will not move from vent to defrost or feet when selector changed.

The selector appears to be fly by wire not directly connected to the dial. True?

Possibly a fuse?

You will have to pull out the HVAC panel and check the cables.

the temp dial and vent selector are cable actuated, and I think the power level (middle dial) is electronic if I'm not mistaken. you'll have take the HVAC register out to check the dial-end of the cables, but if those are good then checking the other ends can be a PITA. the temp cable can be accessed by removing the center armrest section but to get to the vent selector cable you may have to pop the upper dash off which can get a bit overwhelming.
