Rear Breaks leather

Friends,

I have a Corolla-2003.

My mechanic told me I need to change rear breaks leathers of my cars. May I ask you which brand or make I should buy.

Could be the rear brake corduroys! Just kidding, I think you mechanic is talking about brake shoes. In my opinion any name brand should work well; Raybestos, Bendix, Wagner.

I'm a cheap bassturd.... "pleather," here, please But seriously, oem is worth the price (buy 'em and diy or get installed elsewhere....don't pay dealer $$$ for a brake job). My '05 just had it's first front pad replacement at 92,000 miles, rear brakes cleaned and adjusted, original shoes as well....granted, up until Nov, this was my wife's dd, and she drove more hwy miles than I will, but...... great life, and rotors were perfect after all these years/miles. Apparently she does indeed drive like a girl...heh. Since the new car purchase, I get the 'rolla, and do a lot more around town/city driving, so I doubt I'll see that life even with the oem replacement pads, but ..... factory parts are a good bet, if you don't pay the dealer to do the install.
