HIDs without cutting stock wires

Is there a way I can wire my HIDs without cutting into any Toyota wiring? Perhaps a harness or product I can integrate?
Thanks (2003 CE)

DRLs must be disabled, you will have to cut wires, you cant just pull the relay.

Not to be a poopy head, but do they check for illegal HIDs during inspection in CA?

I had an 04 S with an HID kit off ebay. It was basically plug and play. What kind of wires did your kit come with? The only problem I had was flickering due to daytime running lights. I just kept the regular lights on all the time to avoid that but from what I hear you can just unplug some fuse to disable DRL.

One other problem is the arc of light in the hid bulb is different from the filament producing light in the normal bulbs. OEM headlights will spray light everywhere and halogen projectors will focus light on very small spots making it hard to see. You might have to retro fit an HID projector into whatever headlights you use.

Unpluging or pulling a fuse will not disable the DRL. There are two ways to disable the DRL.

First locate the “Relay Assy. Running Light”. This is located under the dash on the steering column.
1. Cutting the Yellow wire and grounding the wire coming out of the relay. This is hit & miss as it didn't work with some corolla's
2. Cutting the Red with White stripe wire (pin 12). This is the easiest and make sure you cut it a couple inches away from the relay.

Use a good quality HID and not some ebay crap that is hit or miss. I would recommend DDM as a fair price HID with a lifetime warranty and if you dont mind spending a little extra, go with their Slim Line Ballast. They are out of the slims now but will be restocked soon. I run their 55watt 6000K kit (over 2 years and it's plug & play) in both low beams and fogs and they give a nice white light and have driven behind CHP cars and have had no problems.

Thanks for the info...

I have a kit for vLeds. I read somewhere people have use 35v capacitors, and others have grounded the negative wire from the HID kit. I don't know how true either one of these are. I will look for the links and post them later.

As for CA law...I have no clue...on my last car I just replaced the stock bulbs before inspection...I'm pretty sure they are illegal if they are not DOT approved.
