2003 Corolla speaker fades in and out

I have a 2003 Corolla. The drivers side front speaker keeps going on and off. I suspect there is a loose connection, cos it usually happens when I go over a bump or if there is any jitter. Can someone tell me how I can inspect the connections? btw I changed my standard CD player for a Sony mp3 CD player a few years ago (installed by Circuit City). I think the problem started then. It was very rare to start with, but now it happens almost everyday.

Your stereo harness connections are most likely not tight. I would recommend taking the harness apart and soldering the wires, then taping the splices with a good-quality electrical tape (versus the crimp caps that are often used).
