K&N Performance Air Filters, are they worth it?

I see $56 bucks for an air filter for a 'Rollla. Do they really offer greater performance? Have you tried these and are they worth it?

From what I can tell from using one on my Saturn SL2, it does increase airflow, but you just have to make sure you stay on top of keeping your MAF sensor clean.

In my experience, it allows more air as well as contaminants into the intake system.

Wow. I loved my k&n filter, until I stepped up to asri intake! Touring with selling my filter now if you're interested.
