Canada Clutch Problem

Hi,
I have a 2006 Corolla CE and I have been having some strange problem with the clutch. When I start the car from cool the clutch feels fine. When I engage the 1st gear and release the clutch to accelerate I hear a rattling kinda of tinny sound. This sound only happens while I start from cold and im on whatever gear I use in about the first 10-15 seconds of driving ( 1st, 2nd or Reverse).

The other problem when I have been driving for about 5 minutes, the clutch start to feel hard and it squeaks when I press it. The function of the clutch works fine tho. After a while of driving the clutch get back to feeling normal again but it does come back to feeling hard.
If I turn off the car with the clutch feeling hard, it still has the same hard feel and squeaking.
This one time I pumped the clutch a few time after after I had turned off the car( with the hard feeling clutch) I heard a kind of gas sound and my clutch felt normal again.

Iv been trying to troubleshoot this problem with my Hanes manual but its not really helping. I have fluid, nothing seems to be leaking.

Hopefully someone has some clutch expertise and can guide me towards the right direction

Thanks

The squeaking at release lever is common. Have you tried bleeding the clutch's release cylinder?

the rattling sounds like your throw out bearing

the second thing sounds like it's time to bleed your clutch slave cylinder.

Thanks for the replies guys
Ill try bleeding my Slave cylinder.
I was driving yesterday after about an hour of driving my clutch got exceptionally hard. I was at a light when I release my foot the clutch didnt even move, she stayed on the floor engaged. It took about 5 second, I heard a sound of hydralic fuel flowing and my clutch came back up and stalled the car. After that it felt A1.

How big of a job is changing the throw out bearing. Iv never done any clutch work.

if it is your throw out bearing and it needs to be replaced...... it's a big enough job that you might as well change out the clutch too.

It could be a binding throwout bearing or clutch fork.

Also consider that the rattling sound might be one of the heat shields on the exhaust system. Have a habit of coming loose after awhile and rattling.
