key cut from vin#?

if I lost my only key is there a way to get a new key cut from the vin #?

Yes, however I tried to have that done for my '03 and the cylinders had worn so that the new keys wouldn't work.

Also, it depends on your model year. After 2004 your key will have a transponder, which instantly makes a replacement key ridiculously expensive.
