Disconnect the Fuel Line?

Hello, this is my first post if you don't count the introduction. I searched the forum but couldn't find any info on how to disconnect the fuel line from the injector rail on my 2005 Corolla. I am in the middle of the intake manifold gasket replacement and could use some advice on this fuel line.

You do not have to disconnect it. Not sure who told you that. You don't even have to remove the coolant lines on the throttle body.

My Haynes manual said to disconnect the fuel line and remove the rail and injectors before taking the intake manifold off. So it sounds like I don't need to do that. Do I still need to remove the rail and injectors but just leave them connected?

Wouldn't be the first time a Haynes manual lead me astray.

I had already review the thread you pointed out but I couldn't get the link to the PDF document to work. What is in that document?

You don't have to mess with any fuel lines or Injectors. The pdf was the tsb on the manifold gasket but the link explains everything.

Thanks so much for the post. You saved me a lot of extra work. I don't know what they were smoking when they wrote that section of the Haynes manual but the fuel line and rail were not at all in the way. The new gasket is on and she is purring like a kitten. I took a 20 minute drive and no CEL so I think that was my problem.
