Question another rim question

Ive gone though alot of posts about rims offset and im pretty sure im more confused then when i started. I have a set of rims that fit on my 02 camry that i would love to get some more miles out of on my 06 corolla xrs. I know the bolt patterns are different but I was thinking of using adaptors to make them fit but im worried bout spacing. The rims are 18x8 +40 the adaptors are 1.25" I cant figure out what that would do to my offset number. Would it rub a stock xrs? Also growing up in a subaru family we just stole parts off other subarus to make stuff work so are there any hubs close enough to a corolla to swap out patterns?

Are you lowered at all? The offset would be around 25.

Seems a bit too extreme. I would not recommend it.

My car has 16 x 7 inch rims with +35 offset and they stick out quite a lot. However, I put them on for their extreme lightweight and to give a wider track for more handling.

Not trying to steal your thread here, but silver04rollas you got a pic of your rolla from the back showing how flush they are? Im rim shopping myself and looking for the rim and fender to be flush. I figured 35mm would be ideal. Thnks for looking.

Yes, ofcourse. The stance looks a bit wider in real life since the picture does not perfectly retain the aspect ratio

Tires: Kumo ECSTA ASX 205/50/16 (old tires)

Wheels: Motegi SX-5 16 x 7 +35 offset racing lightweight wheels (16 lbs apiece)
