I've got an issue that has me perplexed. The car developed a shimmy at 65 MPH. It happens only on acceleration and stops at about 75MPH.
First I had the tires balanced. No Good.
Then, after researching, I tried the CV Assemblies, one at a time.
When I replaced the driver side CV Assembly the problem went away for about 300 miles.
Now it's back, same as before.
Anyone have any ideas ?

i would suggest an alignment. and take it somewhere else to get your wheels balanced again. another thing you can do is rotate your tires front to back.

also ask the condition of your tie rod ends. if there is excessive play in those your wheels will shimmy. also and i sure hope this isnt the problem but it could be in your actual steering column via universal joints or your rack and pinion. a good tech at the shop you go to should be able to properly diagnose this, at least one with experience.
