Question Gen 9/8 manual trans question

After google and numerous search here I'm still not getting a definite answer. Now I need a gen 9 perspective. Which of these fit together without mods?

Gen 8 chassis
Gen 8 5-speed
Gen 9 5-speed
2ZZ XRS 6-speed (C60)
Gen 8 axles
Gen 9 axles
2ZZ XRS axles

In other words Will C60 accept gen 8 axles without modding?

End goal: Swap in a monkey wrench 6-speed with LSD into my gen 8 of which the transmission just went.

Are you just asking about the gearbox?

Anyway, several years ago (circa 2004), a full swap was done of a 2ZZ-GE alongwith it's 6 speed gearbox into an 8th generation Corolla. The size of 2ZZ-GE and weight is almost identical to 1ZZ-FE so it fits into 8th gen rather without issues. Since 2ZZ-GE has a different thicker front axle, it also was fitted into the 8th gen.

Not sure if you are trying to mate C60 to a 1ZZ.

I read about that swap. It's not like I'll be able to afford a full 2ZZ swap. So yes, I'm investigating just mating C60 to a 1ZZ.

did it. 1zz with a MWR C60 on my 9th gen. pretty sure the axles will have to be for a C60, the part numbers are different i think.
