2004 corolla LE

hey guys i currently have a 1997 corolla dx but now am looking for another car
today i saw a 2004 LE with 94k miles on it in black and matt interior
over all the car was in a decent shape
just a scratch on the rear right door and bumper( a pretty visible one)

the ride was nice ac worked fine
only when i turned the car on i heard this knocking sound that increased when a pressed the gas paddle
the dealer said its belts problem. i dnt know what it is if u guys know anything about it please let me know

i am a big corolla fan in terms of reliability, but then again is there anything in particular i should be checking before i finalize the deal.

als0 he had another car its a 2004 Camry but has 138k miles
but that car is just in perfect shape
due to high mileage i did not take it for test drive
what do u guys think which one is the better option
both cars fall with in the same price range.

if i buy the corolla i am gona put the corolla s body kits in it
now how much will those cost me?
and where can i buy them

The only advice I can give is dealers don't always tell the truth and having a belt make a knocking sound is 'odd'. Not sure what the problem is but if this is a dealer car, tell them if it is only a belt have them replace it. A belt replacement is a $25.00 fix, a rod knocking is abit more.
