2004 corolla, no electronics, wont start, dead.

hi everyone, im here on a rush. i have a 2004 corolla and its been sitting at my work parking lot while i was deployed. i had a buddy of mines start it and drive it around every couple weeks while i was gone.

we went to try and get the car yesterday and it wont start. no electronics. no nothing.

we tried to jump the battery, had the cables on there for a good 10-15mins, still nothing. got a brand new battery. still nothing. no electronics, no start. just dead.
i cleaned off any signs of corrosion on the terminals. still nothing.

you guys have any ideas? what gets me is that is was running while i was gone and was only driven around the base. now theres nothing working at all.

let me know what you think, im still scouring the forums to find a different place to look. thanks in advance

Does it click? Try banging on the starter. Did you happen to jump it incorrectly?

def jumped it correctly. if someone was to jump a car incorrectly, they should just drop the cables and step away from the car...

anyways, the electrical problem was fixed by changing out the 100A relay. it was blown, dont understand how it got messed up though. it was only driven a couple times around the parking lot. so after i changed that out, the electronics worked. except for the radio wouldnt turn on....

so even though the power is back, the car still dosnt want to turn over. no click or anything.

i tried the banging on the starter solenoid but there isnt any room to hit right. still think its a connection somewhere.

what do you guys think?

Immobilizer. I think you may need dealership assistance. I'm sorry.

Interesting, that relay usually blows when the cables are crossed or there is some other short in the system and what ever caused that to blow, made other fuses blow too. You will have to pull each fuse. I bet most of your electronics are out. Strangely this happened recently. Probably not a starter issue, but a fuse or relay. There is a fuse panel below and to the left of the steering wheel. You will have to lie on your back and look up to find it.

I agree with Mike, check all of your fuses. I've blown one of the ignition fuses (15amp i believe) and had the same problem, Pull them (remember where exactly you got them from!!!) and check them out under the light. You can also use a dmm or voltmeter on both sides of the fuses with the key in the cylinder and turned to ignition.
If all else fails, it could be the ECU possibly, they have been recalled on some 9th gen corollas.

Best of Luck
