iPod options for stock stereo

I've been perusing this site and found a handful of different products to connect an ipod to the stock stereo (barring fm transmitters, which are hit and miss). What I've found is listed below. Do any of you have comments on how well these work? I've got a 2006 Corolla S with the 6 disc in-dash changer (panasonic model 86120-02440).

ipod interfaces:
1. Dice - (they've got a couple and they tend to be expensive)
2. PIE TOY3-AUX2 - Just connects the aux to rca, so no charging ($70-80)
3. PAC Aux2Car - Similar to #2
4. USA SPEC DF-TOY - Similar to #2 & #3
5. Metra Axxess (AIP-TY01-ID) - Connects the aux to 3.5mm and an ipod dock connection (looks like it works with toyotas from 98-04, so I'm not sure it would work with mine) ($70)
6. GROM - Has dock connector and controls through the head unit ($95)
7. USA SPEC PA11-TOY & PA15-TOY - similar to #6 ($125)
8. Connects2 ipod adapter - similar to #6 & #7, but needs an additional adapter to charge the ipod ($80)

I think I'd like #5, but I would like to know that it'll work with an '06 Corolla before I spend the money.

Some general comments: I just want the audio and don't particularly care about the text or controlling the ipod through the head unit (it'd be hard to make the head unit control the ipod as well as the ipod controls itself). It'd be a big plus if the ipod was charged at the same time (and got the audio through the dock connection, which tends to be better than the headphone out).

This looks like a great way to improve the sound, but does it have an ipod connection? $250 is a little more than I'm looking to spend right now.

I have the hx 650 which was the previous version. You will not believe the soundstage and Imaging. I have bought lots of stuff from this site no problems so far.http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu..._PXE-H660.aspx

Mine does have an i-pod (aux) in although I am assuming this newer version does also.

That does look awesome, but it's a bit more than we have to spend, especially if it doesn't charge the ipod as well.

Does anyone else have any input?

i bought a wiring kit for $80 at the time from this place and its been working great on my 03 corolla s... id recommend that site, the guy who owns the place is nice too. The website has ipod aux kits for all sorts of years, makes, and models, and taps into the ipod port, not a 3.5 mm jack, which sounds great with stock stereos

I'd recommend a wired fm mod. (NOT WIRELESS! They are all garbage because they conform to FCC 5ft Transmission regulations). Decent ones will work just fine. You can get a cable with an ipod connector on one side, and rca's and wires for charging on the other. Downside is no control from oem radio (which normally sucks anyhow). This is your cheapest option. If you want one installed, BestBuy offers a Peripheral IS77 installed for like $150, or you can pick one up for $20 online and put it in yourself. Good luck!
