new vibration

I have an 05 Corolla. The car was pulling to the right because the control arms needed to be replaced. I replaced both control arms, both axles, both brake rotors and both ball joints. The car drives like a new car now except for a strange minor vibration that started. When the cars shifts from 1st to 2nd it has a small vibration that goes away very quickly but it is there. After 2nd gear there is no vibration and, I even took the car up to 80 mph to make sure it doesn't vibrate and it drives great. It only does the vibration when shifting from 1st to 2nd.
The car never had this before. Anybody have any ideas?

Sounds like you may be riding or slipping the clutch a bit?

It's an automatic. The car didn't have this problem until after all the new parts. I also narrowed down the vibration between the speeds of 20 - 25 mph. Before and after the speed there is no vibration. I think one of my new axles came with a defective inner axle. Anybody have any ideas?

Oh yeah. There is a TSB for such a complaint on 2005+2006 models, concerning the upper right motor mount.

That's interesting invader. I'm only guessing a bad axle because I can feel the whole car vibrate and I also see the passenger side seat vibrating. Car didn't have the problem until all the parts were changed.

You're now at near 150000 miles? ATF must be replaced at every 60000 miles... Tranny may be slipping and shuddering when shifting from 1st to 2nd. A bad upper motor mount may be transmitting more of the induced vibration.

I am at 147000 but, I have changed the fluid twice after that post and I even changed it again this Friday because I lost some fluid when changing the axle. The car had no problems with type of vibration. The car was just going to the right on its own. I changed all those parts mentioned above and the car drives straight now but the vibration started. Another thing I noticed is that the vibration only occurs at normal acceleration speeds. If I accelerate quickly it doesn't do it. I'm going to check that mount as you mentioned and both axles for a loose inner axle. I hope it's one of those problems.

Not worth banging Your Head against the Wall

Yes. I brought My car in b/c of a Rubbing/Grinding noise when turning tight right. Spent over $700.00 for regular maintenance - and Tech couldn't correct that noise BUT instead created another noise, which was a constant vibrating metalic sound. Bring car back, and Tech figures out the New noise - but Still can't find solution to Old noise. My new philosophy is simply ignore noises/vibrations. When car was New for the first 6 yrs. or so the dashboard, right in front of Me, would occasionally vibrate. Finally, it must have found a groove, as I don't hear it anymore. Once someone works on something - more Often than Not - they then create another problem. It's in all walks of life. Believe Me!
