Exclamation New Owner Some Questions

hey everyone just picked up a new to us 2007 toyota corolla le, automatic bought it from my parents sense we love our 1991 toyota corolla le, I have been keeping up on everything on this car for awhile now and now its mine, so its time for some twists here and there.

I like straight forward answers please read my questions before answering them, and not to be an a$$hole by saying this... most people are the same way. thanks for understanding.

1. I know about the fog light covers they just pop out..... I had a civic that was pre-wired and I never got around to replacing them... with the corolla. I want to really bad.... How does this work on this car? I got under and located 2 plug ins ((one on each side)) directly above the tow hook ons if the car was to be towed for whatever reason. looks like simple plug and play to me, but then getting into the car, there is no button. where can i get a kit and is plug and play, and where are the lights wired into. or is it that i plug in a foglight kit to the preinstalled hook ups and they are always on whenever the headlights are on? please give me some insight.

2. is there anything hints tricks or tips that I should know about with this car? oh it only has about 31,000 miles and no i dont not want to mess around with removing DRL's I have a 100,000 mile warranty and the ECU has been recalled and replaced.

if answering to the 1. please give me links and what not if you could that'd be some time saved for me ive been searching for answers forever. thanks again in advance.

For the fogs, you need to buy the lights, fog light relay, and a light switch stalk from the Corolla S. All of these parts can be found at a junk yard or ebay. All the parts are plug and play.

Light stalk with the fog switch is plug and play. You remove the three screws around the steering wheel, pop the cover carefully, and disconnect the old stalk.

Thank you for your help, I have 3 junkyards that i will be looking at soon, what years are these on? and am i correct that nothing with the airbags will be bothered as long as im not poking and prying all over when removing it.

The stalk from the corolla S should be good from 03-08 corolla S or matrix ( XR)?. You will see the fog light symbol on the stalk with the switch that you turn. Nothing with the airbag will be touched. The hardest part will be trying to remove the plastic cover behind the steering wheel. If you still feel uncertain, disconnect the battery for 1 hr before you start.

When you get the fogs, don't forget the hardware, you will need the clips and screws for the lights. You must get the fog lights from an 05-08 corolla as they can only fit in your 07, or the 2002-2004 camry, that is important. Bulbs are 9006, which are the same as your low beams. Avoid any blue bulbs, yellow work best though.

I would get the fog light relay from an 05-08 corolla, not sure if the 03 and 04 had a different relay as the lights and bulb were different. I guess the same with the matrix.
