I too have a 2003 corolla M/T with bad bearings. I really only have one question, What all transmissions will fit this car with little to no modification? 2003 Corolla/Vibe/Matrix trans are becoming more and more scarce by the day, and increasingly expensive. Would any of the 6 speed trannies work? I just need to swap the trans and get this car back on the road asap. Thanks in advance,

Thanks for the input. So I take it a 6 speed from a 2003-06 Vibe or Matrix is a C60?

That's right... Your RPM would be about 500 higher on the highway with the C60, even if it has 6 speeds instead of 5. It was geared for the 2ZZ-GE engine which redlines at 8200 RPM.
