Why are you thinking of adding the HIDs?

If it's because the light output is poor, and the lenses are cloudy, I'd start by either polishing the lenses or replacing the headlights.

Dont install HIDS unless you swap out ur halogen headlights for projectors. HIDS + Halogen housing = MASSIVE GLARE. your best option if you really want HIDs is what Royale said. Its pricey but the output is immaculate.

Where is a good place (or a good brand) to get a good kit? I have projectors already (I just got a car, came with projectors, looks like spyder). Light output isn't really that great at all, so I need something done.

Thanks!

I went with DDM Tuning for my low beams. Their pretty good. I bought cheapo Xentecs for my fog lights because they're just fog lights.

Awesome! thank you so much. Am I going to need a harness ("Use the relay harness to connect HIDs to cars with very small gauge wiring that cannot supply the initial surge current required to light the bulbs reliably. ")?

I have an 04.

would be getting this? http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/DD...ast-35W-or-55W

You wont need the harness if you disable your DRLs. It's literally only if you want to keep your DRL function. BUT you will need to reverse the polarity on the connection to the stock harness (just flip it)

Awesome, thanks! One more thing I just thought of. Stock headlights are 9006, and my projectors use h1. Is the power connector the same? Basically, I should be getting this http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/DD...ast-35W-or-55W with the H1 bulb, correct?

Yup, thats the kit. There is a difference when hooking up to a stock lamp vs projectors. With the 9006 bulb, the harness from the car hooks up directly to the bulb on a stock configuration. With the projectors, the car harness hooks up directly to the projector, not the bulb itself. You'll see what i mean when you install them. If you need any more help just PM me.

decided to post here rather than a new thread
just wondering what the law is here in canada about HIDs as they are 100% legal at home in Ireland at the minute

also once the headlight is properly focused (which i know can be very hard to do even with the machine) there is no issue with glare
i find the factory fitted range rovers to be 10x worse than most retro fitted HIDs
