Looking into Erisin ES916K for my 2005

Hello everyone I am interested in purchasing an Erisin ES916k Double DIN 7" GPS for my 2005 Corolla. But I have some questions. Here is the link.

http://www.erisin.com/erisin-es916k-...ml?cPath=13_45

Has anyone bought or installed this unit?

Has anyone who has installed a Double DIN into a 9th gen been able to fit and no fold out 7in screen with the metra kit of altis kit or if you didnt did it work with the factory opening and look ok.

If you go to the link and click on the photo gallery you can see a picture of the radio installed in a Corolla (JDM or European i assume as the steering wheel is different as well and the a/c controls and shifter but interior looks identical) and it seems to take up nearly the entire center stack. Also when I was overseas Corollas have our interior but different exterior and unlike 9th gens where the radio forms to the dash they have flat radios sort of like the 5th gen camry with the same curvy dash. So how would I install this into my Corolla. Here is a pic of what I am talking about.

Does anyone know if there are differences in wiring between Camrys and Corollas?

This radio looks really nice. And I would really like all the options in my Corolla that it gives. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I can't speak for the wiring but as far as the sizing, that picture is "photoshoped" and not an actual installation. You will need a double din installation kit to install this unit.

Good. I thought it was Photoshopped but I cant find any info on Double Din installs with a 7" screen with a 9th gen Corolla so i figured a 7" screen must take up all that space. Everyone had either fold out single DIN or smaller screens. Do you know for sure a 7" screen will work.

I have the Pioneer AVIC-F700BT installed in my 05 corolla with the double din install kit. It is a 7" screen and I didn't have any issues. The only thing is, I wanted to use the metal brackets that are on the factory stereo but it wouldn't line up correctly so I ended up using the plastic ones that came with the kit.
