Fuel Door Opening

The fuel door on my 07 LE does not open very far. I can't use the fuel cap hanger and still get the pump nozzle to the tank. Is this normal? We have a Rav4 and the door opens wide.

Thanks,
Ray

What's preventing it from fully opening?

I am guessing, the hinges. It isn't hitting the fender. It has always been snug, I just assumed that was the normal.

It does not respond to force or the force I am willing to use. I am afraid of popping the rivets.

Would it be worth a couple squirts of PB Blaster?

Thanks

I just did the PB Blaster and eased it the rest of the way open. Paint, corrosion, lack of lubrication? It has been that way for 4 1/2 years.

Thanks Invader for letting me know it was not how it was suppose to be.
