I tried doing a search but I kept receiving this message....

I'm trying to find what the different spring drops are for different lowering springs for the 9th Gen. I want to lower my 07 Corolla CE. I'm not interested in slamming it but a nice drop to reduce the 4x4 look would be nice.
On the 10th gen forum we have an official lowering springs thread & I was hoping there was one in the 9th gen forum too where I could find all the information with pics that I could need. Thanks for any help.

H&R would be a great choice. You can get 'race' or 'sport'. The drop is lower on the 'race' springs.
So for me the "sport" would be better.

Just the look I'm after. I didn't want to slam the car as I don't like the look. I was worried that the springs that dropped it 2" would be too much & that the Eibach that dropped it 1.1" would be too little. Do you have any other pics that have better lighting to see the wheel gap better?

Has anyone used B&G lowering springs? I'm not familiar with them, are they any good? They offer a 1.6" drop which is right between the H&R sport & race springs.

I have heard good things about B + G as well. However, I think quality wise H&R has the edge. The springs won't sag down over time.
I think sport should be fine since the 'race' H&R have a very high spring rate and since you are putting them on your commuter car, you will end up getting annoyed with the stiffness of the springs.

First thing you gotta do before springs is remove the side mouldings
Then get some fogs off ebay and the OEM Switch.
Then you get lowering springs.
I already have the fog lights with the OEM switch. I'm hoping to get them installed this weekend. I just received a rear painted deck spoiler today that I ordered too. The side moldings don't bother me really. My daughter will be using it to drive to college a lot so having them as protection could be a good thing.
Does anyone have experience with Tein H-techs on the 9th gen? Good or bad?

If i remember correct people didnt like the H-techs as they are even softer than factory springs. So while the drop is manageable if too many people or too much cargo gets placed in the back it will scrape.
I have heard the H&R are the best. The S-techs really lower the car and make it look nice though.

thats with S-techs
H-techs ride closest to OEM
with the teins i would say get shocks too since my friends had to replace their shocks after a while having em on
So this is what I've found out. My rear wheel gap is 3.75" while the front is 3.5".
Eibach 1.1" drop
H&R Sport 1.25"
B&G 1.6"
H&R Race 2.0"
K Sport 2.0"
So with this gap I'm leaning toward the B&G since I'm worried that the H&R Sport would be too little of a drop with the huge wheel gap. It's so hard from pictures so if anyone else has some more pics of the drop they have I would appreciate it.
