Unhappy Dash lights and running lights not working... help please!!!!

Hello everyone, I have a 2005 Corolla S. I recently did a head unit install and when night time hit I got pulled over because my running lights and my dash lights are not on. So I know when I took the dash appart that I had to of knocked something loose that cut the power to the dash lights and my night time running lights. So I'll be pulling the dash all apart again in order to fix this but the problem is I have no idea what cord or cable could have been pulled loose. So if you guys/girls could help me identify which cord I need to be looking for it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Was it just a head unit swap or did you do more? Running amp power cables may have disconnected or cut something in the harnesses under the dash.

Pure speculation, since I don't know exactly what you were doing in the first place.

I check my fuses earlier today but I couldnt figure out wi\hich one I should be looking for. When I did my head unit install I only replaced the head unit. The biggest hunch I have is when I pulled my dash apart I took the center part with the temperature connections and I let it hang to the side so I think I might have put too much stress on the cables . idk thanks for the ideas so far but still no luck

Check 15, it is above the odb II port up under the dash. If it keeps blowing you have other issues.

When you installed the new head unit did you use a premade wiring harness (designed for the Corolla model/year you have) to connect the new head unit with the oem radio wiring harness? Or did you make your own harness or simply cut and splice the wires on the OEM radio harness and then crimp/solder the wires to the new head unit's wiring harness?

After checking, and replacing if needed, the fuses, check the wiring harness that connects to the new head unit, possible the head unit harness wires may be crossed or grounded accidentally which will cause a fuse to blow every time you use the new head unit or turn the car on.

yes I got a wiring harness from best buy when I bought the head unit. But I still had to splice some wires and did a sloppy job. If a go and fix the wires how can I reset the fuse to see if the lights are working or will I need to replace the fuses.

No. I redid all my connections on my head unit and made sure it was all nice and neat.
