Exclamation Corolla deprogrammed when change the battery

Why the ECU is deprogrammed every time I remove the bettery?(don't start engine)

I should do to make this no longer happens?

This started to happen after I change the ECU.

I've heard that Pep Boys has a device that plugs into the cigarette lighter to prevent a power loss to the ECU. Don't know what kind of auto parts stores you have in Guatemala, but you should check it out or buy online.

They also have ones that plug into the OBDII port but it does pretty much the same thing.

If an auxillary power point or the alternator stud is readily available I'll just install a jumper box there to keep it from losing memory while the battery is disconnected.

Of course this doesn't help if you're doing something that requires the system to be powered down - like airbag work or an "always on" circuit like a starter or alternator.

Usually a simple device like this one that holds a 9v battery and installs into your cigarette lighter will do the trick just keep in mind the battery won't last very long:

How often do you have to remove your battery?

I commented the following:

I can change the battery as long as the car is started.

The problem arises when I change the battery with the car off.

And I have to do this procedure http://www.google.com.gt/url?sa=t&rc...eqwdAg&cad=rja (page 13)

I would never, but sometimes necessary when changing any bad part, you know.

I don't know, i guess there are a problem betwen the key, immobilizer and ECU.

The scanner detected two Codes: P0630 Vin not programed o mistmatch and B2799 Engine immovilizer system malfunction

I guess those issues affect the ECU

But any mechanic can repair these codes
