Anyone paint the headlight housing?

I'm planning to paint the headlight housing black....and remove that ugly orange reflector. Anyone have done this? I've seen DIYs for different cars, just wondering if anyone on here have done it.

I'm planning to VHT the tail lights too if anyone has done that with a 9th gen corolla or whatnot.

These two should be the final mods...along with rim tape/shorty antenna/possibly catback exhaust

So, you are going to open the lens off and paint the insides black?

Well, if what I said is what you are trying to do, I was the first (that i know of) to paint the insides with VHT. Oh wait dang, you meant VHT on the tail lights lol. Not a good idea IMO, it will make your brake lights hard to see. INSTEAD... get some of those Altis LED tail lights!! Best ever lol.

don't got the money for those, that would be my eventual upgrade. i'm going for a light tint on my tail lights, i'm probably doing one coat, two coat max, so i could still get the red to show up.

painting the inside with high temp spray paint for plastic...i'm dreading taking off the bumper and baking the headlight

i'll post pictures when the whip looks like the way i want it to look...i should be painting my motegi's again soon...possibly in white

Well, when I VHT'd my tail lights, it was nearly impossible to get a perfectly even, light coat that wasn't splotchy. So it ended up black lol. Remember that it dries darker than when you first spray it.

I think the black housings will look great, but I vote NO on tinting the tails. You are inviting some SUV driver to ass-end your ride big time.

this is actually what im planning now that ive decided i'm going to paint my rims white with a black lip. my calipers are red so it will match the tail lights (avoid police attention too)

can anyone find a picture of a white car with white rims w/ black lip? a good pic is hard to find...(you guys may like black rim w/ white lip better but this is more unique and it's time for a change)

my rims are painted black and the paint's chipping so don't suggest a black rim and adding white lip...i've painted it that way 3 times already lol

you should get a rustoleum spray gun in the future...it locks on top of the spray can and gives you an even, controlled spray
