Unhappy 2005 Corolla XRS with Ingen intake and getting a CEL

I just purchased a used 2005 Corolla XRS a few weeks ago and it has an Ingen intake on it, the next day after I bought it the CEL went on.

After resetting the battery and it popping up again I got the code read by an employee of O Riellys (they dont do free readings as a company anymore) and the code was 440=Secondary Air Injection Switch stuck open.

SO as of now I disconnected the hose going from the intake to the air pump and capped it off, and put an air filter on the end of the hose that goes to the air pump. So far the CEL hasnt come back on. Hopefully that helps. If anyone has feedback it would be appreciated!

Your supposed to let the car idle for a min or 2, until the smog pump shuts off. Cold weather start up will take maybe 3 minutes or so. You'll hear a high pitch whistle, when it shuts off and RPM's settle to 1.2k. It keeps the CEL from coming on, what you did is another alternative. The CEL will go away on its own after a couple of proper start ups.
