What do you mean by "in the intake manifold"?

i tool the tb of to clean it and shined a flashlight in the intake manifold and there was a puddle of oil setting in there. I stuck a rag in there smelled it to make sure it was oil and then soaked what i could up. My car is shaking at idle and i am trying to diagnose it. Engine mounts are good, no mil, tb and iacv are clean. Any ideas?

Sorry, is it just me, or are all posts now written in a very light and hard to read grey??

I've always had some oil collecting in the intake manifold. It's blown in via the crankcase vent hose from the PCV valve. The excess does get drawn in with the intake charge in combustion chamber... It's caused by compression blow-by at the pistons and rings, and is common especially with earlier 1ZZ-FE engine.
