Front Plate Mount

I'm moving from a state that has no front plate to a state that requires one. My 2006 Corolla doesn't have any screws on the front. Can someone recommend a good universal mount? I'm assuming it would be better to mount an L shaped bracket on the underside of the bumper to avoid screwing directly into the front of the bumper.

You can do that. Just becareful to where it gets mounted.

Mine didn't have a front license plate mount -- the dealer had just screwed the front license plate directly to the bumper cover. (I think there are supposed to be a couple of faint dimples on the cover marking where the screws go.)

I can appreciate the simplicity of the design and Toyota's approach to it, but when I took the car through the car wash the front plate bent. The Toyota parts catalog doesn't list a front plate mount for the 2003 Corolla. I bought a Camry plate mount (PN 75101-AA040) from the same era for under $8 (discounted) and it works fine.
