Foggy/Cloudy headlamps

Does anyone know how to make my headlamps look clearer? I'm assuming this fogginess/cloudiness is caused by oxidation from rain water. I've seen other Corollas with lens covers in worse condition than mine, so I'm assuming this is a universal issue.

Yup and not just corollas nearly all cars with a plastic housing. The simple fix is to take it to a detail shop and have them do the service for the headlights.

Usually you will need some compound the remove the layer or crap.
Then some wax to clean it up and fill it in.
Then some polish to make it look brand new.

All this is buffed in with a high speed buffer. I had mine done and looked great. They have to be redone around ever 3 months to look new but I will say every 6 months depending on price.

Or you can use the 3M products yourself but you will likely also have to do it every 3 months or so.

If it is too expensive just buy some new headlights on ebay. They are cheap and you can even get some S headlights with the black inside.

If I helped out in anyway please hit the thanks button on my post .

There are several earlier threads, via the forum's search feature, discussing the issue of hazy/cloudy/foggy headlight lenses and possible solutions.

'05 Corrolla Low Beams suck...

My headlight covers on an 05 Corolla has some slight hazing. I used Meguiar's PlastX and Blue Magic Headlight Lens Sealer on them four plus months ago which so far has worked well and I haven't had to reapply it yet. Others have used repair kits (more expensive) that use a sander (mounted on a drill) on the headlight lens. Normally with most of these "repair" kits you have to reapply the kit after a year or two. The reason for this is because many of the restoration kits strip off the lens UV protective coating during the restoration process which causes the lens to eventually begin to yellow/haze over time requiring a reapplication of the restoration kit.
