You should not need to reprogram the immobilizer or key unless you replaced the immobilizer ECU, they key, or you have some other problem related to the immobilizer. What is your problem exactly.

If you did replace the immobilizer ECU then the dealer will have to reprogram the ECU and reseed the keys. This can only be done by a master tech at a Toyota dealer. A key place can not do it.

The 05-08 Corollas with AT trans have a recall on the ECU or PCM, I had mine replaced for free under recall.

1. Why did you buy a new ECU? I am assuming you bought an engine and ECT( electronically controlled transmission) ECU.
2. Are you aware that there are around 20 different engine and ECT ECUs available for this car depending on a range of things. And if you pick the wrong one from eBay that you may have a car that doesn't come out of gear or shifts poorly or won't start?
3. Toyota recalled the engine and ECT ECU on a lot of these cars for problems. If you need one take it to the dealership and see if you can get a new ECU free.
4. If you did buy an engine and ECT ECU and managed to get the right one. And managed to get a working ECU then you do not need to reprogram the key or worry about that. It will start and drive like normal.
5. If you replaced the immobilizer ECU then you need to reprogram and reseed the key. This can only be done by the a master tech at a Toyota dealer.
