armrest swapping?

I bought an 07 S, which I do like, but I did not research enough to realize the S were decontented relative to the LE, which I loved before it was totaled.

The repair shop told me it was repairable at $6,700 but I took the $6,112 cash option, as the KBB value on the car was $4,924. My totaled '05 was great but had 155k. I got a new 07 S for $9196 out the door (incl. tax) with only 70k. (Most Corollas had 85-133k between the 03-08 generation I looked at and cost between $8300 and $9900 with tax).

I bought the car and liked it but realized it wasn't the same armrest as the LE. I liked having a higher armrest to put my elbow on.

Have any of you swapped a base armrest with a deluxe one?

I realized too there was no map pocket on the back seat of the passenger seat, but I dealt with it by putting the big atlas I sometimes use in the trunk.

thank you for the links! I will consider swapping the armrest with a Matrix of the same vintage.

I thought I was the only one in the world that thought this armrest was too short. Now I'm gonna have to go out and get a 2005 Matrix's charcoal armrest to replace mine. Thanks for the idea.

Don't mess with the one on the matrix. Get it upholstered.
