a tall truck or a lifted truck is just as dangerous. it may be dangerous to less people (those in taller vehicles may not be affected), but to someone being blinded, it doesnt matter what is doing it, its all dangerous.

Daniel Stern talks about the legalities: http://www.danielsternlighting.com/t...nversions.html
You are 100% correct that HID kits should not be used. The only place HIDs should be used is in an HID-designed projector or reflector. Now, where you put that HID/projector, well that could be anywhere lol. Mr. Stern's site is a great read!!

I've got the Siverstar Ultra since Nov. 2011. At high beam they're great at low beam they suck. I drive 50 miles on an unlit highway each night. It seems that the low beams throw light out to 25-35 feet and that's it. I want better low beams!!!!

Something I noticed on my OEM factory lights when I replaced the dims.
The lights bulbs I pulled out had 55W stamped on the bulb. When I opened the new bulbs, I noticed the new bulbs had 51W stamped on the bulb but the package said they were 55W. Pissed me off I wasn't really getting the original 55W bulbs and kind of wondered if I had bought them from Toyota, if I would have actually got a 55W bulb.
Anyway I bought the HIR bulbs instead for the dims.

Sylvania ZXE's!!! They are fantastic, I was a little skeptical at first ($60/set)....But after a second ballist issue with HID's, I figured I would give them a shot. I threw in a set in projector beams and my foglights. They are the BEST bulbs I've ever owned, hands down!! Totally doing my driving lights as well know. We will see how long they last, but intitial reaction is an A++++
