I have a 05 manual CE with C Package and I would like to get rid of the seatbelt buzzer without affecting anything else, like the headlight on warning chime. Is it as simple as pulling a fuse?
Would that turn a seatbelt light on?

Well on my Corolla model that predates yours by 24 years there is a little black box directly under the instrument panel (you have to lie on your back with your head where your feet normally go in order to see it, and it's tucked up in there with a mess of wires). I think Haynes has a picture of the box in the manual but not where it is located exactly. Anyway, I unplugged the wires to this and it stopped the seatbelt buzzer, but it also stops the key-in-lock warning as well as the appropriate idiot light warnings. There was a posting about this a few months back.

I always wear my seatbelt. It's been a law here for decades.
But I just find annoying that this buzzer goes off whenever your speed creeps up above 9 km/hre. So whenever I leave before buckling up, or unbuckle before coming to a full stop... BBBBBBZZZZZZZZZZZZTTT........ for 30 seconds. Stupid.
A trick I got from another forum would be to tie together the 2 wires going in each front seatbelt to make the car "think" that both are buckled full time. That would then preclude the dashboard seatbelt light to flash.
Its a pain in the @SS, having to hear that thing go off as soon as you get over 20km. but I'll tell you from experience, i used to never wear my seatbelt until my buddy got into an accident and i nailed my head on the pillar of the windsheild. Trust me, you'd rather hear that buzzing noise come from the car than your head.
I'm going to agree with stugatz and xmikeyx and say just wear your dam seatbelt. If you've ever come to a complete stop in less than a blink of an eye without a seatbelt on, you would know why the buzzer goes off even at slow speeds.

I like the beeper since it reminds me not to be foolish to neglect seatbelts while driving even for a few minutes. Wear seatbelts before you press the gas pedal, you will never hear the beeper.

Making my debut on these forums by replying to an ancient post, and most likely angering those posters who don't understand the concepts of freedom and personal choice.
Minou, you may have found an answer to your question by now, but in case you haven't and for the rest of you all who are interested, I found this method posted in the Camry/Avalon forum on this same site. I tried it out on my 2005 Corolla CE (automatic), and it worked like a charm!
Disclaimer: it may come as a shock to some, but without your seatbelt on, you are more likely to sustain serious injury (or death) in the event of an accident. Even more shocking to some, we (I do at least) live in America, land of the free. Drive at your own risk, and wear your seatbelt at your own risk.
1) Turn the Car On, Do not start the engine (Leave you foot off the brake). Cycle your trip reset knob until you it reads ODO. Turn the ignition back off. Wait a couple of seconds.
2) Make sure seat belt is not fastened
3) Turn the ignition back on, do not start the car (Leave you foot off the break) As soon as you see everything light up, press and hold the trip reset knob and do a long 12 second count.
4) Keep your finger on the trip reset knob. Fasten your seat belt, as soon as you fasten your seat belt, you should see the ODO display go from XXXX miles to "b-on". At that time take your finger off the trip reset knob and press it again. It should cycle to "b-off". You should be all set and turn the ignition off and unfasten your seat belt.
No, I had not found an answer to my question. The issue was also discussed at length on another forum and the consensus was to leave everything alone for now. We had found wiring diagrams and were hoping that we could easily snip a wire going from the seatbelt latch to the buzzer but Toyota had thunk of that by making sure that resistance was not zero if the wire is cut. Anyway, someting along those lines. I also saw a thread somewhere on how to remove the buzzer altogether in the instrument binacle. An undertaking I was not considering especially that removing the buzzer from the PC board would have also silenced the buzzer for the headlights-on or door open.
I was just hoping for a simple parameter re-programming such as this when I thought that none existed. OTOH, I had seen such programming of buzzers and such everywhere on sites pertaining to Ford products.
