05 Corolla starting problem

Perhaps try using gasoline that has 0% ethanol content? Hard to come by these days, at least around my city - only one Conoco station has it, afaik, but it's worth it for various other reasons as well... who the hell decided it's ok to "cheapen" gas w/ alcohol? Yeah, the octane rating is the "same," but pure gasoline is superior to blend.....and it may help prevent the hot start problem - I used to have the issue, but haven't really noticed other than one or two occasions over the last few years ('05 S owned since '05) ..... does suck when it happens.

Had same problem on my 05 corrolla, when ecm replacement was done hard start problem went away. its fine now. initially nobody could find out what was wrong, just took it in for the ecm recall.
