That's crazy that they refuse to help you at the dealership.

Would it be any help if the rest of us with 2003's took pictures of the bloody light when it's lit? You should print out this thread as well and show them all the people that have confirmed that you should have it installed.

Why don't you go to another authorized dealer and check with them? Perhaps the first one you went is, er, crooked or just incompetent, but not all of them are.

If Toyota hotline is telling you it's there it's got to be there.

Cheers,

Run Away From The Light...

Burnt, Ghost & Raddman,

I was like you once... seeing dashboard warning lights that didn't exist. Now a kindly Toyota Dealer has set me straight. I am free of the anger that was nawing me from the inside. I'm a much better balanced and productive Corolla owner now. I've finally been allowed to "run away from the light". <g>

I'd like to see where it is on the dashboard as I can't remember! Please take a picture next time it comes up. I hit the big 36k-miles today -- so out of warranty am I!

Corollas do have a low washer fluid warning light, well definitely all of the Canadian built ones do. and Most of the Corollas for north america come out of Cambrige ON, check your VIN# if it starts with 2T then it is a Canadian car. In this case go to a different dealer and have it fixed, you brought it to the attention of Toyot abefore you 36K came up so they will have to fix it under warranty.

My Canadian built XRS with optitron meters does not have a low washer fluid light. I have looked with a flashlight, there isn't a transparent part for washer fluid anywhere. I do like how when empty the washer fluid can take more than a gallon of fluid though

My quandary is that Toyota Service Record Computer (or whatever they call it). If I bring it to another dealer, they’ll type in my VIN and see the service records from the first dealer. If the second dealer tells me the same concerning the light, I might assume it says something like this in the service record: “We told this guy he has NO LIGHT – cover our ass and we’ll cover yours someday!”<g> (I’m sure they don’t really do things like that!)

In truth, I really need more “ammo” before bugging the same or other dealer, so I’m going to wait ‘till someone posts a location image of a low-washer warning dashboard light from a 2003 Corolla before doing anything more about it.

Lol all this for one damn light that doesnt really even matter. Just check the fluid every once in a while or add more when you dont get anything to the windshield.

Lol, as if toyota is right.... Most of the time they're not even close to the right answer. Over here I wouldnt even bother calling them up and asking anything, they really dont know any tech stuff. Going to the dealer over here is alot more better, when you're friends with the good looking girl over on the parts counter, tadaa you can get all kinds of cool things done.
