Hello guys, new to the board here. I know the car is new and it takes some time to get performance parts out on the market,.. but does anyone have any idea where I can get the simple bolt ons? If there are out yet? CAI, Exhaust, header?
I know it uses the same motor as the Matrix XRS that has been around a few years, and I believe its a similar build of the Celica GT-S Model that has also been around, so there should be some parts around for this car somewhere, right?
The Injen CAI for the 04+ Matrix xrs will work with it, I'm in the process of figuring out if the Magnaflow exhaust for the corolla s will work out. I don't think that there are any headers out for the 04+ 2zz engines, but I haven't really looked much so I could be wrong. Apparently springs/coilovers for 03+ Corollas will bolt up, 03+ corolla sways will work as well.

There is a magnaflow Corolla XRS axle back exhaust due out shortly (advertised on their site check www.9thgencorolla.com 2ZZ section for details), djwolford so save yourself effort and money since you might want to get the real one.

Thanks for the heads up man, I guess all of the e-mails that I sent finally paid off.....or maybe not, but they're doing it, so that's all that matters.

LOL..yeah that is true. It is due out in the summer. It is actually a cat back and not an axle back (according to the posting on 9thgencorolla.com). I read on a celica forum that there are tons of goodies for 2ZZ due out this year. I hope the rumor is correct.

hello all new to this i have an 05 corolla xrs could,nt help but notice that two of u have an injen intake what car is it made for and where may i get one thanks plz e-mail me at whitedragon334@hotmail.com thanks guys
Get the 2004 Matrix XRS Injen CAI as it is a direct fit on the Corolla XRS. It is a great upgrade over the very restrictive stock airbox. It will increase the power in lift substantially. A good high flow exhaust and Cold Air Intake do wonders for the 2ZZ-GE and increase power all across the rev range. Combined it is dyno proven to increase power from 150 wheel hp to 166 - 168 wheel hp (around 192 - 194 hp@crank).
My Greddy Street Performance exhaust is specifically developed for Corolla XRS so it is a straight bolt on. There are others available too such as, Greddy Evo2, Borla, Magnaflow etc.

hey thanks for the info i do have the greddy evo 2 axle back did u run into any truoble with the check engine light comeing on when u added that intake ?
i like to know as much as i can about this motor in the corolla xrs and where would u suggest i can go to get that intake at a good price thanks for your time
Are you serious?? You own and XRS and are not sure if you have 1ZZ-FE or 2ZZ-GE under the hood? lol Look at my signature and you will find the answer to your question.
As for running into troubles with intake, generally people do run into CEL issues, but I got help from a professional mechanic on installation so never had any CELs. I have had my CAI for around 3 months and exhaust for 3 weeks. Never any issues (yes, I drove in a very heavy rain/storm and everything was fine).

You won't get a CEL if you install it right. Check out www. 9th gen corolla .com (wihtout spaces) and search the 2zz section, tons of info on the injen intake install. Almost everyone there uses the Injen intake, without trouble.
Toyota nation is the wrong forum for XRS owners, check out 9thgen corolla .com
