My '91 Corolla.....

Hi all; my name is Frank and I am a newbie here! Last month, I bought a '91 Corolla DX 4 door from a co-worker for $200. It has 200k miles and was really underpowered and I was thinking that it had jumped time. After replacing the timing belt and tensioner pulley, the car now runs like a champ. Anyway, I've done a few cosmetic repairs on it(replaced the sagging headliner, replaced the driver side mirror with a remote mirror, and replaced those stupid 2 piece door mounted front seat belts with the regular belts from an '88 Corolla.) My problem is this: my turn signal lights and hazards quit working last week and after checking the fuses, found that both turn signal and hazard light fuses were blown. So I replaced both as well as the flasher and now my hazards work, but I still have no turnsignals. I even went so far as to replace the turnsignal/wiper switch but still no luck. I'm hoping that one of you guys can help me find out what's wrong. BTW, I work at a local Nissan dealership which has a Toyota affiliate across the street and the guys there told me that I had a turnsignal or taillight module in my trunk, located behind the cover, on the passenger side quarter panel. I didn't find any such thing.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
Frank

Here is a wiring diagram for an 87 which should be similar to yours . Can use it to trace your wiring from the switch .

You can try finding the flasher module relay on the drivers side kick panel. Its sorta near the fuse panel. I believe its aluminum color looking. You will have to remove the driver door jam plastic. You will see what I'm talking about when you remove that plastic. Just don't know which one is the flasher module. SOrry hope that help some.
