Question trouble starting

i have a 1989 corolla dlx 2bbl i just got the car it had minor things wrong with it that i fixed i tryed starting iit and it would not turn over so i looked a seen it was not picking up gas so i replaced the pump and filter but still wont pick up the gas
any ideas what i should do next

Trouble Starting

If your engine is equip with a carb, check the carb if it has petrol in it if it has no petrol then the culprit would be the fuel filter.

Sounds like you have some rust/scale clogging up the screen pickup in the tank on in the fuel line itself. Try disconnecting the fuel line at engine and at tank and using air compressor to blow it out.
