My brother has an 88 corolla fx, as well as a 91 gt-s parts car. I was wondering, will the strut tower bar fit the fx? There is a vin plate in the area where the gt-s bar bolts to the firewall, are the threaded holes under there?
Also, while I am on the subject of struts, the fx has no power steering. The strut mount holes are slotted, and on this car the struts are installed towards the front of the car, but the slotted holes allow for a 180 rotation.
Would turning the strut mounts around be a good idea? I am going on the assumption that they are installed that way from the factory to minimize steering effort in a car with no power assist steering.
Am I crazy to think that increasing the caster this way might improve handling?
