1988-1992 Corolla All-Trac Transmission

Hi everyone, I was curious if anyone with this car could let me know how strong the transmission is?

I am looking into using this transmission for a project and need to know if it would be able to handle some major power modifications. I know that this car isn't really one to take to the limit but hoping someone would still know of the strength.

Thanks

They're not that strong, is not a "rally" transmission if that's what you're thinking.

its maybe an E tranny, but it doesnt mean that because its an E taht i will be capable of tolerating 260 HP, as there more than one model of the E-series Transmissions(like the C-series)

It's an E57F5, whatever that is. ST165 is E50F2, ST185 is E150F/E151F/E152F, ST205 is E154F.

What does this all mean? I have no idea, just throwing it out there.

LOL, its a DD my man not a track car. all the rust would cause too much wind drag

well the problem is not the transmission itself, but the axles that go into the transmission that arent capable of tolerating this kind of power
