I think the GT-S also offered a sunroof option which the SR5 did not.
My '89 SR5 had a sunroof. I say "had" because it flew off on the highway one day and now I've got a piece of plastic cell panel and linoleum over the hole.
And yeah, Cibie makes some good lights. If anyone is looking for similar quality lights at a cheaper price, check out Autopal's H4 housings (for headlights at least).
naw foo, this idiot thought he had something... we was on the highway and he started messin around, and i just hit it... i've noticed that when you are on the highway doin bout 65 or 70 and hit it, you at 90 before ya kno it... lol...
ha ha ive always said that, in my car from a stand still, i N bomb it at redline, go into 2nd @ 45 mph then into 3rd (D) @ 80 mph...the 3 speed has such wide gears lol ive definately beat a few cars with my little rolla on the highway, a 2009 Loaded Elantra, 2008 Base Civic Stick Shift, 2006 Accord 4 Cyl Auto, 1990's V6 Camaro (lol) and my brother's 05 Montego...from a stop this car aint got shit on many cars. unless you sacrafice your tranny by doing N bombs. however, ive dont literally hundreds of them since i bought the car and the tranny still shifts like new. when u do N drops in this car, it doesnt really clunk down into first gear hard, it kinda eases in so to me, its not too bad but obviously you shouldnt do it too much lol
wait till i get my burnout vids up. i did about 10 smokey ass burnouts at my friends RX-7 shop, everyone was standing around my car most of the day lol i stole the show with my Yoda
also going into 3rd at 80? I believe 2nd redlined at 60-65....
he he i dont have a tach yet, but when i get it either today or tomorrow, ill take a pic of me going 78 (ok, not 80 lol) in 2nd. i tell you, if i keep it in 2nd, this car pulls longer than most cars in one gear, thus reducing shift time (obv) and dusting mothableepas (dont lock this thread like the other one lol) i hit the rev limiter when i reach 78 in 2nd and 45 or 40 in 1st. the car shifts automatically at 30 in 1st, 65 in second in D. keep it in gear, ull see. plus around corners, despite my crappy handling, i can yank through some turns the SHO couldnt touch in 1st lol this car really is fun
more than likely. I was beaten by my friend who was driving a stock civic (non vtec so output was close) with a very worn clutch that slipped every gear and he had no problem getting ahead... so yeah...

There's no possible way ... I drove two different cars prior to my Corolla, a 1995 Dodge Neon (base everything, 3-speed auto) and then a 2000 Chrysler T&C, and I can tell you just from driving all three cars that either the Neon or the van would have torn my Corolla to shreds without any real effort. I don't see a stock Corolla EVER being able to beat a Stang, unless maybe the Stang was towing 4,000 pounds of bricks or had a blown motor or something.
Just be satisfied with the fact that your car is going to run for another twenty years. Don't try to make it into a hot rod.

Mine is a '92 DX. The biggest thing that can tell you the difference between a DX and the regular model is the color of the bumpers. If your bumpers are colored, it's a DX. If they're black, it's not.
this is not true my 1990 dx corolla has black bumpers...ssadly =(
