Gen6 AE 101 vs 90 Series

hey ive had a look at doing a disk brake conversion on my ce90 corolla, in my situation its cheap for me to find the rear end from an AE 101 Trueno and bolt that in, ive had a look and to me it seems pretty easy. Anyone know what im getting myself into before i start buying things? If so, is it worth it? any help would be greatly appreciated.

take the rear suspension and brake of a scrapped AE92 Coupe (trueno or levin, take your pick)

will be easier than trying to fit in the AE101 brakes

anyways the stopping power is roughly the same between the AE92 disc and the AE101 disc (the E10* gen use bigger disc than the AE92, but also use the same brake pads as the AE92)

cheers for that, found an FX GT corolla at the wreckers and got the whole kit to do the conversion for less than a set of new brake pads, now all i have to do is get motivated and do it.

vince.

yeah the stopping power of the ae92's is actually pretty decent. They put decent size brakes for a car that light. Only benefit I can think of with larger rotors and smaller pads would be they would deal with heat better.. but for the average driver they wouldn't even notice the difference
