Unfortunately, I didn't know the TRD Quick Shifter was meant only for the right-hand drive AE92. So, now if I have a big enough (common sized...) passenger in the front passenger seat, their left leg would be my 5th gear (reverse too, if fat).

Anyone know a good way to slip the shaft out the ball without damage? I just need to turn the shaft so it sits more towards the left than right.

And the damn thing doesn't make much of a difference except I'm more certain it's in gear when I shift it. Other than making the shifting more pronounced/ stiffer and very slightly shorter, it's not that much far from factory. But, I can atleast say I have a TRD quick/short shifter (bragging right), good enough for me.

It's not that bad, a lot of guys use it this way and have no problems shifting, so you touch the passengers leg sometimes when you shift... just hope its a girl.

none of your links worked hahaha, but beyond that I tell my passengers to sit correctly because of the shifter... my car... free ride for them so they can get over it. I have long arms so I have no issues with me reaching. I could see someone alot shorter having issues with it. I also didn't realize it until I bought it, that little tidbit of information they left out at the dealer, also that the instructions were in japanese hahaha... I may have installed both spacers.. a problem I later fixed

I've heard of people cutting the shifter and getting it welded back together in the correct position. that's really the only way to "fix" it. But I use it how it is normally and have no problems with it.

Geez...I gave one of the links a check in preview before posting, anyway you are right about them not working.

I edited the post. Doing a search for "short shifter" will return a bunch of information.
