New Wheel Bearing squeak...

I just replaced the front wheel bearing in my 1991 corolla, and after driving 100+ for over an hour I noticed a squeak at low speeds... sounds like a seal with no grease (greased both new seals well) I parked the car for 30 mins, got back in no squeak... drove 100+ for another hour sqeaking again... Just parked the car again...

any idea's?

I had a shop press the bearings in and new seals... they greased and I greased also..; just to be sure... I used a high quality bearing grease...

any idea's?

hahaha KMPH

I'm a canadien EH!!!

so like 65 or 70mph....

Ohh BTW I just did a few mins of highway driving and some around town... no squeak now? The Old seals were all squished out... could the seals just be seating?

I dunno... annoying little squeak... nothing like grinding though... could be my brake...

thanks for any replies....

Noise on both sides?

Next time this happens feel the area around the bearing as well as you can. If warm OK, if hot not OK.

If a squeak, squeak may be a brake issue.

Bearings tend to growl from lack of lubrication.

If roller bearings make sure you have the correct preload and have not over tightened them.

it's a sealed type bearing and I torqued it to spec...

I was kind of suspecting brakes... except the squeak doesn't really change when I apply them...

it's gone for now... it isn't causing any heat in the hub....

btw it's just the driverside I replaced... and that's where the sqeaking is coming from

actually mine just started doing this this afternoon, but we've narrowed it down to brake pad indicators, so yea check your brakes, my guess is it's very close to time for new pads. and yea mine is only the driver side too.
