Intermittent Wipers?

I replaced the combination switch on my 89 GTS with one from another GTS that has cruise and "variable" intermittent wiper control.

The variable intermittent wipers don't seem to work but the low and high do. Does anyone know if there is a separate/different control module for variable intermittent wipers compared to the base intermittent wiper switch that the cars come with? Someone mentioned that it should all be controlled internal to the multi switch but I'd like confirmation on this.

man... I didn't realize any corollas came with INT wipers... I might have to go get a switch

I just glanced at my FSM, and I didn't see any computers it connected to... just that it plugs into that big plug at the base of the steering wheel. The switch you installed might just be broken... it happens to RX-7 ones all the time

Not sure if the GTS switch are similar to sedans... But on mine, there's low medium and high ('intermittent'). For low, I can vary the speed up to almost medium by rotating the little switch ring thingy on the wiper switch.

that's the sr5 as well. It clicks in to low, med, and high... I find the problem is low isn't slow enough for light rain that still affects your vision so your clicking the arm up and down as you need them.

no, we're talking about the fact that apparently some sedans have an adjustable intermittent (slowest) setting, and you can make the pause faster or slower... My SR5 doesn't have that.

most of all sedan(all trims included) that have INT are not variable
