Is there any benefit to having the spark plug Valley pan and cover plate installed on a 89 AGE motor? Just seems to collect more crap under there and water if you wash it with it on.
Ah yes.. the bigport covers and water I don't like the look without them though as you got a big gaping hole and spark plug boots that go on forever.
I agree with Thomas, I like the smallport covers better... but I think you would need the smallport wires to run this cover on a bigport as it looks like the wires are smaller than the bigport ones so they would hide underneath it.

REN, that's the same cover I have now so it looks like the previous ower changed up the cover already. Makes sense now that the parts counter guy gave me what I thought was all wrong new plug wires etc.
The only problem I see with doing this is, in my case anyway, is that the lower valley pan under the cover from the small port fits but has no way of sealing properly as it has holes for mounting that don't exist on the big port as far as I can tell. Oh well I'll have to use it for now until I can find the proper cover or make a valley pan that seals properly.

smallport plug wires wont' work with a bigport cap (and same vise versa).
I use a smallport cover, bigport dizzy cap, and just a set of cheap wires...... you only see about 5" of spark plug wire as it is, who cares what's under it.
current set of wires IIRC was like $14 for "lifetime warranty"
