195/50 (or 55)/15 is probably the best option for the AE92 in terms of performance and in my opinion looks.
Rim ET should be around 38, when the width is 6.5"

this is something you can ask all you want. You will always get different opinions. For instance I like the 205/45 r16's I had more so than the 195's, They were on 14 inch rims and in the end have the same circumference as the 16's ... They were ok but I personally like a pretty stiff sidewall.

I found with the 175/70's playing with the tire pressure helped with that feel to a point. You really want to avoid what I used to do, which was peel the sidewall over and use it like tread :|

yeah, I'm not sure about nissans, but hondas will (I don't know the center bore of nissans of the top of my head).

I have 15x7s with 205/50/15s and there are a lot of nice tires in this size and in 195/50/15s (stock miata size) which is nice.

Star Specs are awesome tires, but they won't last too long if your car is a daily driver. My friends who auto-x love them.

Can you test-fit the Hyundai rims? IIRC, Nissan rims will fit, but the center bore on Mazdas is too small, i.e no Miata rims for you. I think any fwd aftermarkets will fit (center bore-wise) so long as they are 4x100 and the correct offset.

Are you sure? I'm sure I've seen the daisy wheels on a corolla before.

Almost 100% sure. Could be bored out if one has access to a machine shop.

an easy way to find out the center bore is go look at H&R hub centric spacers, it'll say what the bore is for just about every car they sell them for...

I didn't notice any change in going from my 15s to my current 14inch snows, then again it is winter and the cars seem to use more fuel to keep warm.

You could use spacers OR get something like Sportmaxx/XXR wheels which already come wide enough and with 4x100/4x114.3 bolt patterns.

I've done 13's, 14's, and 16's on my car... You do notice a bit of power drom with something like a 4af because of the extra weight in the 16 inch rims.. But out of everything I have tried I prefer them the most for the handling. You also still have enough tire not to destroy crap every time you hit a bump . If you were going to do the 195 rout though I wouldn't go 16.. I'd go 15
